Get a ride,
priced by distance
No flat mystery fare. $15 per person per mile with a $25 minimum, so the number moves with the distance and how many of you are in the cab. You see it before you accept. Denver only.
What it costs
One rate, counted per person. A pedicab carries the people, not the parcel, so two riders going four miles is twice the work of one rider going four miles and the fare says so. The minimum exists because a two-block hop still has to be worth pedalling.
| Component | Rate |
|---|---|
| Per person, per mile | $15/mi |
| Minimum, any ride | $25 |
Rounded to a whole dollar. Routed cycling distance, not straight-line, because a pedicab follows streets and one-ways.
Real examples
Actual rides across the operating area, priced by the same engine that quotes you at the curb. The price you are shown is the price you pay.
| Ride | Miles | 1 rider | 2 riders |
|---|---|---|---|
| Union Station to the Dairy Block | 0.4 | $25floor | $25floor |
| Union Station to Coors Field | 0.8 | $25floor | $25floor |
| LoDo to RiNo | 1.4 | $25floor | $42 |
| Ball Arena to Ballpark | 1.6 | $25floor | $48 |
| Union Station to Empower Field | 2.2 | $33 | $66 |
| Golden Triangle to Cherry Creek North | 2.8 | $42 | $84 |
| RiNo to Cherry Creek North | 4.0 | $60 | $120 |
| Empower Field to Cherry Creek North | 6.1 | $92 | $183 |
There is no ceiling and no distance refusal. None. The operating polygon is the only limit. Long rides carry a duration estimate in the quote, before you accept it, not after.
Where we can reach you
Every minute below is measured from the base at 15th & Larimer at pedicab pace. That single location sets the whole coverage picture, so these are the honest numbers rather than a radius drawn on a map.
| Zone | From base | Dispatch | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| LoDo / Larimer Square | 3 to 5 min | Direct from base | Closest to base. Reachable without staging a cab. |
| Ballpark / Coors Field | 8 to 11 min | Direct from base | Straddles the proposed sub-10-minute mark. |
| Ball Arena | 8 to 11 min | Direct from base | Straddles the proposed sub-10-minute mark. |
| Golden Triangle | 10 to 13 min | Direct from base | Past the proposed mark, still a direct run from base. |
| RiNo | 15 to 18 min | Needs a staged cab | Too far to dispatch from base. Needs a cab already in the neighborhood. |
| Empower Field | 15 to 18 min | Needs a staged cab | Too far to dispatch from base. Needs a cab already in the neighborhood. |
| Cherry Creek | 30 to 35 min | Out of dispatch range | Not reachable from base on a dispatch. |
- Which zones are live at launch is not decided, so nothing above is a pickup promise.
- The pickup-time threshold a zone must sustain to be promoted is not set.
- How pickup times get logged, by hand or in the app, is not decided.
- The operating polygon is not drawn. Until it is, the edges of every zone are approximate.
- Driver count is not confirmed, and a live availability map needs at least two.
How a zone earns “live”
Zones get promoted on logged pickup times, never on opinion. Three states, and the coverage board will show which one a zone is in.
Pickup times sustained inside the promise threshold.
Rides running and times being logged, not yet promised.
Inside the operating polygon, not yet served.
Denver only, and we mean the boundary
An address has to clear two separate tests. The first is the real Denver city and county boundary, not a radius. The second is the part of the city a pedicab can actually work.
- Gate one, jurisdiction. Denver city and county only. Sourced from Denver Open Data GeoJSON, versioned in the repo. Glendale is the trap here: it is its own city, entirely surrounded by Denver, and a radius test wrongly accepts it.
- Gate two, operating area. Inside Denver, the part we can ride. Denver International sits inside the legal boundary down an annexed corridor about 25 miles out. No pedicab is riding to the airport.
- Out of area. Refused, with the nearest in-area pickup offered instead. We do not quote a ride we cannot run.
